A Playful, Toddler-Chasing Session in Hoover, Alabama
The George family brought all the love, laughter, and energy to their fall photo session at Moss Rock Preserve in Hoover, Alabama. We met up on a beautiful October afternoon — just as the leaves were starting to change — and spent our time chasing their sweet toddler Asher and soaking in the cozy fall vibes.
This was my second time photographing Rouhin, Liza, and Asher, and it’s always such a joy to watch families grow and change year after year. Last fall, Asher was just a baby — and this year? He was on the move! One of my favorite parts of this session was watching Liza and Rouhin love on him in that gentle, easygoing way that comes from knowing this season is wild… but fleeting.
They also brought their first “baby” — Bear! An 85-pound pup who absolutely stole the show in a few of their family photos.
Moss Rock is such a gem for family sessions — it has just the right mix of natural trails, golden light, and enough open space for toddlers to run free (and photographers to keep snapping from a distance). Even when the leaves haven’t fully turned, the earthy tones and textures create a gorgeous fall backdrop.
